MEDWAY and Maidstone runner Neil Renault beat his personal best by one and a half minutes in the Wilmslow Half Marathon, incorporating the UK and inter-counties championships.

Renault, from Deal, was 39th of more than 3,000 runners, in 1hr 10min 30sec, but the Kent team’s chances were hit when his Medway and Maidstone club-mate Michael Coleman, of Dover, had to drop out.
