Second spell at Deal for Seager

MARC SEAGER, who was a key member of Deal Town’s FA Vase winning side last year, has re-signed for the club. The 29-year-old defender/midfielder made his second Deal debut at Maidstone on Tuesday night and said he was delighted to be back in the black and white hoops.

Seager left the Charles Ground as part of the exodus that accompanied Tommy Sampson’s departure soon after the Wembley triumph, and he started this season with Sittingbourne.

But Bourne are having a bad time and are currently rock bottom of the Dr Martens Eastern League. Seager said: “Initially I just wanted to get away from Sittingbourne, and Dartford came in for me at first. But then Simon Bryant got in touch and I decided to sign for Deal because I had a great two years there before.

“I was a virtual ever-present in the Vase-winning team and the fantastic memories of Wembley are still as strong as ever.”
