Golfer Karen Stupples marked the announcement of her wedding later this year with a strong performance in the LPGA Safeway International golf tournament at Superstition Mountain in Arizona.

The 34-year-old Deal professional finished joint 15th with a nine-under-par total of 279 to earn a cheque for $19,384.

And Stupples announced over the weekend that she and her American partner Bobby Inman, who is also her caddie, would be getting married in Las Vegas on April 8 - almost a year after Karen gave birth to their first child.
