KAREN Stupples makes her Solheim Cup debut for Europe when they take on the United States at Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, Indiana, this weekend.
Her parents, Alan and Eileen, will be among the spectators as the 12-strong European side try to win the match-play team event on American soil for the first time.
Alan and Eileen flew out on Tuesday, but Karen, who is from Deal, has been at Crooked Stick since the weekend after missing the cut in the State Farm Classic in Illinois.
Alan said: "Karen wasn’t too disappointed (at missing the cut) because it meant she was able to get to Crooked Stick on Sunday, and she got some practice rounds in before most of the other players had even arrived at the course."
Live coverage of the event, which starts on Friday, will be broadcast on Sky Sports.
