Chris Kinnear wants Dover to build on their solid start to the Skrill South season on Saturday and dispel any home form concerns.

Whites are lying fourth after picking up nine points out of a possible 12 and the Dover manager is drawing added satisfaction from looking at the clubs who are currently below Dover in the fledgling table.

He said: “None of the three big spenders, Eastleigh, Sutton or Ebbsfleet, are going great guns and it seems to be one of those situations where everyone is beating everyone else.”

Whites host Hayes & Yeading on Saturday, a team that have won just once in their opening four matches but they won 1-0 on their last visit to Crabble nearly 12 months ago and Kinnear, whose side lost at home to Concord Rangers last Saturday, will be keen to avoid any repeat of the inconsistent home form which ultimately derailed Whites’ promotion charge for the past two seasons.

He said: “We want to win all our home games and produce some exciting football for the fans like we did against Ebbsfleet. Concord were dogged and made it difficult for us.”
Kinnear, however, obtained the response he was looking for from his side on Bank Holiday Monday, with a single-goal victory at Whitehawk.

He said: “The lads were down on Saturday night and, at the moment, we don’t know how each player will react after situations like that but they did well at Whitehawk and deserved to win.”
