10 held after class A drug raids

Ten people have been arrested and 16 addresses searched in a series of police raids targeting class A drug deales.

A total of 14 addresses in Dover and two in Merseyside were searched in the major operation, and cocaine worth at least £60,000 was recovered along with a large amount of cash.

Around 100 police officers were involved in the operation, which started on Wednesday and concluded on Thursday, as part of on-going responses to concerns raised by the local community about drug use and supply.

Dover District Commander Chief Inspector Tony Kofkin, said: "This latest action will have an impact on the supply of drugs in Dover and sends a clear message to those involved that we will continue to take action to disrupt and deter the drugs trade."

"I would like to thank local people for their on-going support in providing information and working with us."
