Firefighters were called to an abandoned car alight in a field off Alkham Valley Road, Dover last night.

Crews arrived on the scene at 7.15pm and put the fire out using hose reels.

The vehicle was a silver Astra and was 80% destroyed by the blaze.

A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue confirmed police had been informed in case the fire was suspicious.
