Ambulance in crash at Limekiln Street on the A20 in Dover

An ambulance was left with its bumper hanging off and wires exposed, following a crash while taking a patient to hospital.

The vehicle was seen on a recovery truck just after midnight in Dover, but the collison happened at about 7.40pm yesterday.

The front of the ambulance was crushed during the incident which involved another vehicle on the A20, Limekiln Street.

A spokesperson for the service said thankfully, there were no serious injuries.

“The ambulance was en route to hospital with a patient,” they said.

“Further ambulance crews attended the scene and the patient continued their journey to hospital in another vehicle.”

The police have also been contacted for comment.
