The air ambulance was called to the scene of a serious multi-vehicle crash that closed the A2 in both directions.
Traffic queued up for two miles from the scene of the collision between Dover and Canterbury.
Emergency services descended on the scene at around 9.10am this morning, and it is believed a motorcycle, a tractor and a van have collided.
A male motorcyclist was treated at the scene by ambulance crews and has been airlifted to a London hospital.
Traffic was diverted along Bridge Hill through Bridge, which suffered congestion as a result.
The road has now been opened in both directions, but some delays remain in the area as traffic clears.
