Ferry firm P&O's shock decision to make 800 staff redundant has been vilified across the board – and today's front pages show just how toxic the once-proud brand has become.

The operator's management have been accused of 'acting like thugs' after making the announcement on a zoom call – and leaving its passengers' travel plans in chaos.

The Sun didn't hold back with their opinion, bluntly calling management at P&O 'a bunch of anchors' whilst the Daily Star sailed in a similar direction with their 'Up ship creek'.
