Armed police called to Pioneer Road, Dover, following reports man had weapons

Armed police made a dawn swoop on a neighbourhood and arrested a man believed to have weapons.

Officers poured into Pioneer Road, Dover, just before 6.20am today following a report of concern for a woman.

Armed police were called to Pioneer Road in Dover early this morning

Officers went to an address there, where she was found to be safe and well.

Firearms officers were then called to the scene to assist patrols after a man was reported to have weapons.

Police confirmed the man was detained and arrested on suspicion of breaching a non-molestation order.

The 30-year-old from Dover remains in custody while enquiries continue.
