A man has been arrested after an alleged sexual assault on a Kent beach.

Police were called to Dover beach in Marine Parade at 8.30pm on Tuesday, November 7.

Officers received reports that the assault took place after the victim spoke to a man in Market Square.

As part of their inquiries into the sexual assault, officers arrested a 47-year-old man from Dover on Thursday, November 9.

He has since been released on bail with conditions whilst the investigation continues.
