Benches along the river pathway in Pencester Gardens are being set back from the path to improve accessibility, according to the district council.
Residents shared concerns via Facebook last week, after the benches were removed. It was feared this would be a permanent decision.
But a DDC spokesman said: “The benches that were on the river pathway in Pencester Gardens are being reset back from the path to help keep the pathway clear and improve accessibility. They have been temporarily removed whilst the work is undertaken.”
