It is believed Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch could be filming at Dover Castle.
The actor is starring in a BBC production of The Hollow Crown, where he will play King Richard III and it is believed filming for this is taking place at the castle.
Isobel Uden, PR for Dover Castle confirmed filming is taking place but could not confirm if the star was at the castle. She said: "I can confirm that there is filming taking place at Dover Castle this week until Friday, but I can't give you any further details I'm afraid.
"This does not affect the castle's opening hours as from November - end March (excluding Feb half-term) we are open weekends only."
It is believed he could be staying in a hotel in Dover.
