The Ministry of Defence’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal were called to Dover Grammar School for Boys

A loud explosion was heard after the Ministry of Defence’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team were dispatched to a school in Dover yesterday.

Police were called at 9.50am following concern about the storage of chemicals at the town's Grammar School for Boys in Astor Avenue.

It is understood a controlled explosion was carried out.
