A grandmother who broke a woman's eye socket while on bail for fracturing a man's jaw in a drunken rage has walked free from court.

Boxer Tracie Moore, 38, punched a stranger three times in the face causing him to bite his tongue in an unprovoked street attack.

In a separate assault she thrashed a friend inside her own home and tried pulling her out the front door.

When Moore was ejected from the property she tried climbing through the bathroom window to continue the attack.

Judge Simon James told the "out of control" mother-of-two she should be jailed but he was "shackled" by a previous judge’s leniency.

“It was an unprovoked street attack (which caused) disabling fractures," he said.

“You punched a victim repeatedly, she curled up in a ball, you tried pulling her from her own home – you were clearly out of control.

“I'm to a degree shackled by the previous leniency given to you.

“If I had been the judge you would have been going to jail."

Canterbury Crown Court heard Moore’s sentence was deferred last year to help her get off alcohol and work with probation.

She was forced to complete the programme after pleading guilty to two counts of Grievous Bodily Harm and Actual Bodily Harm last year.

The first assault happened in October 2016 when Moore and her son had been drinking in Dover, prosecutor Caroline Knight explained.

“The victims went to a kebab shop in Cannon Street. They heard shouting coming from a group.

“Miss Moore walked aggressively towards Stephen Wilson.

"He was afraid he was going to be attacked then she punched him three times causing him to bite his tongue.

"You punched a victim repeatedly, she curled up in a ball, you tried pulling her from her own home - you were clearly out of control" - Judge Simon James

“Her son punched him causing him to lose consciousness.”

Miss Knight added Mr Wilson suffered a fractured jaw, maligned teeth, and lived in fear he would run into the duo again.

The court heard Moore, who is listed as working at the Dover Boxing Gym on Facebook, was bailed only to go on another drunken rampage injuring two women.

Socialising with friends, Moore’s behaviour turned "erratic and threatening" when she repeatedly punched Emma Stowe inside her own home.

Claire Basset, another member of the group, tried intervening but Moore punched her eye-socket causing it to fracture.

She attempted to climb back through the bathroom window after being kicked out the property in Dover’s Johannesburg Road, but was stopped.

Moore, of De Burgh Street in Dover, has previously been convicted of battery and common assault the court heard.

Mitigating, Keith Yardy said his client has cleaned up her act since the attacks and has tempered alcohol consumption – the root of her problems.

“She has positively grasped the opportunity to be committed to a long term behaviour change," he told the court.

“She has taken advantage of all the help offered to her."

Judge James suspended a two year jail sentence for two years and ordered Moore to complete 40 alcohol rehabilitation days.

She was also fined £170 and must appear before the same judge in six months for a progress report.

On Moore's Facebook profile, she claimed to work at Dover Boxing Gym. But its owner Wayne Morley claims she has never worked at the gym.
