Burst water main in Dover leaves some without water between Magdala Road and Primrose Road

A burst water main left some without water for hours and a road still closed.

The incident happened at 3.30pm yesterday, between Magdala Road and Primrose Road with the supply to some homes in Coombe Valley Road, St Radigunds, Tower Hamlets and Elms Vale Road only being restored hours later.

It has also affected bus services 90, 91, 92 and 92A in the area.

One home owner said: "We do have water now but engineers are still trying to repair it."

As of this morning, the road is understood to still be closed, with bus services still diverting away from the affected area.

Southern Water has been contacted for comment and further information.
