Kelly Turner’s mother has made a renewed and heartbreaking plea for help to save her daughter’s life from cancer.
In a YouTube video Linda Turner, of Dover, has recounted the story from the time Kelly, 16, was first taken ill 12 months ago and was diagnosed.
She needs £1 million within the next year for specialist surgery in New York to save her life from a rare form of the disease.
Mrs Turner said: “At the beginning of her treatment we were given her prognosis and we were told she had, without surgery, two years to live.
“That was really gut-wrenching, it was very painful to learn that your own daughter was only going to live for two years.
“This was a year ago. So you can imagine with the clock ticking away it’s a bit scary.”
There has been a mass of help through fundraising events for Kelly in the last few months with the total raised so far being £270,000.
But Mrs Turner pleaded for help from the public to keep giving to reach the target in time.

She said: “Everybody has been so kind and generous but we have an awful long way to go and she needs surgery now.
“Please, please please can you help so that we can get Kelly treatment as soon as possible.
“She needs immunotherapy in New York and it is only available in New York. It is New York or nothing.”
