Man in 30s robbed at cash machine, Market Place, Aylesham

A man was attacked and robbed at a cash machine.

Two men came from behind, assaulted him and took his money from the machine.

It happened between 12.30am and 12.36am yesterday at Market Place, Aylesham.

Police need witnesses

The robbers then fled the scene heading towards Dorman Avenue North.

Detective Sergeant Neil Martin said: ‘The victim, a man in his 30s, had just withdrawn money from the cash machine when he was approached from behind by two men, who assaulted him.

"The men then took the money from the cash machine and left the scene."

Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the robbery or has information about the incident to phone Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting reference number ZY/65880/18.
