Chemist shop burglary in London Road, Dover, Wayne Denham,51, brought to court

A man has been charged following a burglary at a chemist’s.

Officers were called to the premises in London Road, Dover, in the early hours of yesterday and arrested a man on suspicion of burglary.

Wayne Denham, 51, of no fixed address, was subsequently charged with burglary and was due to appear before Medway magistrates via virtual court today.

In a separate case another man was arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary in Dover.

Police were called to a newsagent’s in Bridge Street just after 1.25am yesterday .

Patrols afterwards arrested a 38-year-old man from the Dover area.

He has been released while enquiries continue.
