Police, medics and fire crews sent to Snargate Street in Dover after concerns for man

Four police cars, an ambulance and several fire vehicles were called to an incident in Dover after concerns were raised about a man.

The emergency services - including Kent Fire and Rescue Service's height vehicle - were seen along the A20 in Snargate Street, near the marina.

They were called following concerns for a person.

A small crowd gathered as crews worked to safely locate the man.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called to Snargate Street, Dover at 5.30pm on Monday, June 6 following concern for a man in the area.

"Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and Kent Fire and Rescue Service and the man was safely located and handed into the care of healthcare professionals."

A spokesperson from Kent Fire and Rescue Service added: "Crews were called to an incident in Snargate Street, Dover at 6.10pm this evening at the request of Kent Police, however our services were ultimately not required so crews took no action and left the scene at 6.54pm."
