Police and coastguard called to Langdon Bay, Dover after body is found

Emergency services were called to a beach after a man's body was discovered.

Police and the coastguard responded to a call after the discovery near Langdon Bay, at Dover, at 11.55am today.

A man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The death is not being treated as suspicious, police said.

A statement said: "Kent Police was called following a report that the body of a man had been found near Langdon Bay, Dover at 11.55am.

"Officers attended along with HM Coastguard and the man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

"The death is not currently being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner."
