Attempted gang robbery of boy in Pencester Road, Dover

A gang of four tried to mug a teenage boy outside a fried chicken shop in a town centre.

The 17-year-old victim was approached near Favorite Chicken and Ribs in Pencester Road, Dover.

Police say the gang – all males and also thought to be in their mid to late teens – “are reported to have acted in a threatening manner while asking if the victim had anything he could give to them”.

A spokesman added: “They left empty-handed when the victim demonstrated he had nothing.”

This attempted robbery happened opposite the entrance to Pencester Gardens at shortly after 8pm last Saturday.

A friend of the boy was also reported to have been chased by members of the same group.

Nobody was injured and nothing was stolen.
