Covid vaccinations for the public in Dover began today..
They are at Dover Health Centre in Maison Dieu Road.
The website of Kent and Medway Clinical Commissioning Group, updated this morning (Friday), said they were to start by Sunday, January 17.
But a spokesman for NHS Kent and Medway has this afternoon told Kent Online that the programme has "gone live now."
The jabs at Dover are part of Kent's Phase 3, which started on Monday, as part of a nationwide rolling programme to combat coronavirus.
The centre is being used for patients registered with the following GP practices:
Aylesham Medical Practice; Balmoral Surgery, Walmer; Buckland Medical Practice, Dover; High Street Surgery, Dover; Lydden Surgery; Manor Road Surgery, Deal; Pencester Surgery, Dover; Peter Street Surgery, Dover; St James' Surgery, Dover; St Richard's Road Surgery, Deal; Sandwich Medical Practice, The Cedars Surgery, Walmer, and White Cliffs Medical Centre, Dover.
Aylesham Health Centre is also giving vaccines but only for health and care staff.
This led to complaints that the entire Dover district at present only has one vaccination site for the public.
A petition was raised to have one in Deal and management at the town's Golf Road community centre offered their premises.
NHS Kent and Medway this week said that the vaccination service for more than 90% of its 200 GP practices was now confirmed.
It said people would be updated if more locations were added.
Dover District Council's coronavirus guidance web page also said: "This is a rolling programme and more vaccination services will be opening across Kent and Medway, including the Dover District, as further supplies of the vaccine become available."
