Delays on A20 to Port of Dover after broken down lorry closes lane in Dover TAP area

Long delays are being reported on the approach to Kent’s busiest port.
Weather-related issues in the Channel has seen Dover TAP implemented for freight heading to the ferry terminal but a broken down vehicle is adding to tailbacks.
One lane is closed on the A20 between Folkestone and Dover on the coastbound stretch after the Roundhill Tunnel.
Drivers have reported the traffic has come to a standstill with delays of about 30 minutes getting through the area.
A broken down lorry in the TAP queues is understood to be causing the problem.
It comes as Storm Jocelyn is set to bring high winds and poor weather conditions throughout the evening.
Ferry operator DFDS is already reporting delays of up to an hour for its services between Dover and Calais and 30 minutes on the route to Dunkirk.
