A man has been charged after a woman was reportedly sexually assaulted in Dover.

Police were called after the victim reported being attacked in a vehicle in the New Street area of town at around 4.10am.

Following an investigation by Kent Police's East Kent Vulnerability Investigation Team and Dover Community Safety Unit, a man was arrested the following day.

Jan Szeman, 30, of Tower Hamlets Road, Dover, has since been charged with sexual assault.

He is due to appear this morning before Medway Magistrates' Court.
