Dover: Man from River charged with possession of imitation firearm

A man has been charged with possession of an imitation firearm following an incident near Dover.
Officers were called to a report of a disturbance in Lower Road, River, at 1.21am on Saturday.
William McGarry, 55, of Lower Road, River, was charged with possession of an imitation firearm, an air rifle, with intent to cause fear of violence.
He was also charged with possession of a taser.
He appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court today via a video link where he was bailed and the case has been adjourned until October 24 at Canterbury Crown Court.
