A 23-year-old accused of attempting to murder a man in Dover town centre will stand trial in November.
Robbie Dunn appeared at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday where he pleaded not guilty to four offences, all of which are said to have occurred in the early hours of May 20.
He denies attempting to murder Robert Mitchell, as well as the alternative, less serious charge of wounding Mr Mitchell with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Dunn also pleaded not guilty to robbing Mr Mitchell of £20 and threatening him with a bladed article, namely a knife.
He was arrested shortly after police and paramedics were called to reports of a stabbing in Biggin Street at 12.30am.
The victim, now known to be Mr Mitchell, had to be airlifted to a London hospital and was said to be in a serious but stable condition.
He has, however, since been discharged.
Dunn, who is of no fixed address, and Mr Mitchell are believed to be known to each other.
Remanding Dunn in custody, Judge Philip St.John-Stevens said his trial, which is expected to last five to seven days, is due to start at the same court on November 4.
