A 27-year-old man has been remanded in custody by a court charged with murder.

Daniel John David Fleming, of Clarendon Street, Dover, appeared before magistrates at Folkestone on Tuesday, and was remanded until November 20 when he is due at Maidstone Crown Court.

Fleming was arrested by police investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man following a fire at Marjan Close, off St Radigund’s Road, Dover, in April.

He was charged with murdering 49-year-old Frank Coulter who died on May 7 at East Grinstead Hospital following a fire at his home address in the early hours of Sunday April 30.
