A 41-year-old man is helping detectives with their enquiries following the discovery of a woman's body at a house in London Road, Dover. Police were called to the three-storey multi-occupancy Victorian houses soon after 6pm last night.

The dead woman was in her late forties. Her identity has not yet been revealed. A police spokesman said: "We are treating the death as suspicious. The investigation is on-going."

The spokesman added: "We are unable to say any more at this stage".
