A foreign car in Effingham Crescent is believed to have been parked in the permit zone for months without being issued a ticket.

Residents have criticised Dover District Council for not acting fast enough to get the vehicle moved on.

A picture of the car, an old Peugeot 106, was posted on Facebook by a disgruntled resident.

A DDC spokesman responded that parking contraventions are enforced across the district, including against foreign vehicles. If the charge is not paid in time, it uses a collection agency which operates abroad.
