Closure of A2 at Dover between Whitfield and Lydden scrapped due to poor weather

A planned closure of the A2 near Dover tonight has been scrapped.
National Highways had planned to resurface the road between the Whitfield interchange and Lydden forcing its closure between 8pm tonight and 6am on Sunday morning.
However, due to poor weather being forecast, it has confirmed the work will be postponed.
A new date for the work has yet to be confirmed.
The work was to finish the resurfacing work recently carried out on the stretch of road.
