The Port of Dover's Coronavirus Emergency Fund has been released from the Kent Community Foundation to help the community to work together.
Doug Bannister, the port's chief executive said:“As we navigate through these unprecedented and challenging times, it is vital that we work together as one community and continue to provide support to those in need.
"The Port of Dover has therefore immediately released £40,000 from our Community Fund into the Coronavirus Emergency Fund for the Dover area. These funds will provide local charities with additional financial support as they work tirelessly to care for our community.”
All local organisations in Dover that are supporting those affected by Coronavirus are invited to apply for a grant by clicking here.
This could include charities looking after vulnerable people, plus those providing important social support to members of the community.
Funding will be released soon after a successful application.
