Police hunting robber after thefts in Dover

Police investigating a string of robberies have released this e-fit of a suspect they would like to trace.

Officers believe the man may be behind three robberies in Dover in just days.

In the first incident, on Friday, December 19, a 56-year-old woman was in her wheelchair on the Barton footpath at 12.45 pm when two men approached her and demanded money.

She gave them some cash and they ran off towards Cherry Tree Avenue.

Then, just days later at 1.50am on Monday, a 50-year-old woman was targeted in the alleyway between Castle Hill Road and Dover Sport Centre Car Park.

One suspect assaulted her and demanded cash, forcing her to hand over her empty coat.

The man, who was with another man and a woman, then fled.

Later that day, at around 8.05pm, a 43-year-old woman walking in the alleyway that goes from De Burgh Hill to Anstee Road in Dover was approached by two men who pushed her and grabbed her handbag.

Anyone who can help police identify the suspect, or has any information about these robberies is asked to contact Detective Constable Geoffrey Kirya in CID on 101 quoting crime reference ZY/41190/14.
