School bus involved in crash

Children on their way to school in Dover have been involved in an accident which left a motorcyclist with leg injuries.

The accident happened just before 8am on Thursday at Dorman Avenue North, Aylesham, and involved a motorcycle and a bus carrying around 35 children aged 11 to 16 from the village to various secondary schools in Dover.

The motorcyclist was taken to the William Harvey Hospital at Ashford. No one else was injured.

The police liaised with the schools that the children attend to explain what happened so the schools could make any necessary arrangements.
