TWO women have been sexually assaulted in the same area of Dover within a three-hour period.
A girl of 14 was walking away from Dover Priory railway station along an alley between Priory Gate Road and Priory Hill when she was grabbed from behind by a man and indecently assaulted.
She struggle free and ran for help. The man followed her some distance down the road but disappeared after the girl stopped at a house nearby.
The attacker is described as a white man in his late 20s or early 30s. He was wearing blue jeans, dark-coloured jacket and jeans, and white trainers.
Police believe a second incident at around midnight less than a mile away may be linked. A 29-year-old woman was walking her dog along Whinless Down from the 'kissing gate' at the end of Noah's Ark Road when she was grabbed her from behind and pulled to the ground.
After a struggle, the woman was indecently assaulted before she managed to escape.
Police have warned women to be on their guard, especially if they are walking alone at night, and have advised them to stay in well-lit streets.
The assaults happened last Thursday. Anyone with information is asked to contact DI ward on 01304 240055 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
