You’ll to have a ball with this year’s DODS panto.
It’s the classic fairytale of Cinderella, telling the full story of the rags to riches girl who marries the prince of her dreams.
Cinderella is at first thwarted from her destiny by her wicked stepmother and the two ugly sisters but finally reaches her goal thanks to a kindly fairy godmother.
Dover Operatic and Dramatic Society began the first performance last night (Wednesday) and shows continue tonight, tomorrow and Saturday at 7.15pm.
There will be a matinee on the last day at 1.30pm.
Georgia Taylor has the title role and Scott Cozens is her Prince Charming. Baron Hardup and the Wicked Stepmother are played by Paul Tingley and Natalie Hubbard.
Matthew Sullivan is Buttons, Courney Wain is the Fairy Godmother and Adam Parks and Scott Cain are the Ugly Sisters.
Mr Sullivan and Mr Cain are also the directors.
Collection tins will be put out to help Dover teenager Kelly Turner to have lifesaving treatment in America for a rare cancer.
Cinderella was last performed by DODS in 2013 and this pantomime follows the success of Beauty of the Beast last winter.
The show is at Dover Town Hall and tickets cost £10 for adults and £5 for children.
More of the dress rehearsal photographs, taken by Tony Flashman, are in today's edition of the Dover Mercury and others can be bought via the Kent Online website.
