Work will start tonight on the A2 Jubilee Way in Dover to repair several manhole covers on the viaduct.
This will mean that the A2 will be closed in both directions between the A258 and A20 with fully signed diversions in place via the A256 and A20.
The work will be carried out overnight, between 8pm and 6am and will take place in two phases beginning for six nights from tonight and then for three nights from Tuesday, May 6.
Kevin Bown, Highways Agency asset manager said: “Safety is a top priority for the Highways Agency.
"The repairs will be carried out as quickly as possible so that journeys remain safe and reliable for the tens of thousands of drivers that rely on this route.
"To minimise the disruption the work will be carried out overnight, when traffic flows are lowest, and removed over the bank holiday weekend.”
The work is due to be completed on Friday, May 9.
