Motorists are facing chaos on Kent's motorways once again as travel problems continue.

Long queues are stretching along the roads for the third consecutive day in Folkestone, Dover, and Hythe as heavy traffic hits the Eurotunnel and Port of Dover.

The M20 is currently closed coastbound at Junction 13 to allow for freight traffic management into the port of Dover.

Congestion means that there are delays of more than an hour for DFDS ferries from the Port of Dover to Calais, while the Dunkerque service is delayed by 20 minutes.

Passengers are being advised to check their travel times and make sure that they check in on time.

The problems have caused massive tailbacks coming out of Dover, with traffic attempting to get into the town being delayed from both the east and the west.

There is gridlock on the A2 as lorries wait to get into the docks off Jubilee Way, with more than seven miles of tailbacks on the road as far back as Lydden.

All non-freight motorists are reportedly being diverted at the Whitfield roundabout, and should avoid the road if possible.

The Dover TAP is in place yet again on the A20 between the Roundhill Tunnel in Hawkinge and Dover's Western Heights Roundabout, causing lengthy queues and slow-moving traffic.

The Roundhill Tunnel coastbound has been closed to try and manage the traffic, which is causing other delays.

There are also lengthy tailbacks on the M20 as freight traffic tries to access the Eurotunnel in Folkestone, which is currently running a one and a half hour delay on freight traffic.

The entry and exit sliproads on the coastbound carriageway have been closed at Junction 11 and lorries are queuing all along the hard shoulder.
