Two men have been arrested following the theft of a car near Dover.

The vehicle was reportedly stolen from Lower Road in River between Friday, April 24 and Saturday, April 25.

It was reported to police on Monday, May 4 and an investigation was opened.

Three days later, two men from Sandwich were arrested in connection with the theft.

One man, aged 37, was arrested on suspicion of stealing a vehicle, and the second man, aged 49, was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods.

Both have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
