Van collides with set of traffic lights in Bridge Street, Dover

A van collided with a a set of traffic lights in Bridge Street earlier this morning.
Police received reports of the incident at 5.53am, but the driver had left the scene by the time officers got there.
An eyewitness said on Twitter: "Its a bit wet this morning."
A police spokesman said: "Investigations are on-going to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident."
Kent Highways confirmed restoration of the damaged traffic lights by midday by tweeting: "The traffic signals at the junction of Charlton Green and A256 Frith Road have now been restored."
