The White Cliffs of Dover have been voted one of the five most stunning views in the UK.

The 10 views have been captured in High Definition by Sky TV as part of its High Definition Britain campaign in partnership with the National Trust.

They have gone head to head in a public vote to uncover the nation’s favourite.

They were voted the fifth most favourite, behind winner Aberglaslyn Pass (Snowdonia, Wales), runner-up Borowdale (Keswick, Cumbria), St Michael’s Mount (Penzance, Cornwall) - which was third - and Holywell Bay (Cornwall) - which was fourth.

Sixth was Corfe Castle (Dorset), seventh was Kintail and Morvich (Ross-shire, Scotland), eighth was Brimham Rocks (Harrogate, North Yorkshire), ninth was Hardcastle Crags (Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire), and 10th was Oxburgh Hall (Kings Lynn, Norfolk.

The winning location was announced as the first screening of High Definition Britain was unveiled to stressed out commuters at Paddington Station, London yesterday Thursday), before being broadcast on Sky ArtsHD, channel 258.
