Woman died in house fire in Clarendon Street in Dover

A woman in her 70s died after the house fire.
Police and fire crews were called to the blaze, which caused the roof to partially collapse, in Clarendon Street in Dover at 8pm last night.
Firefighters tackled the blaze in to the early hours of this morning.
Two fire engines remain at the scene to dampen the site.
A woman was pronounced dead at the scene and a report will be prepared for the coroner. It is not being treated as suspicious.
Officers are at the property are conducting inquiries to establish the cause.
Local residents heard an explosion at the time of the fire and six fire engines and 20 firefighters were at the scene.
Crews were able to stop the flames from spreading to neighbouring homes, which were evacuated.
