Fundraising efforts for little Daisy Caister are continuing, with more than £10,000 raised do far.

Meena Caister, of Siberts Close, Shepherdswell, is raising money for her daughter Daisy who has Rett syndrome.

The disorder has stripped her of the ability to walk and talk and means her parents rely on eye movements to interact with her.

The family need £13,000 for a device to help Daisy communicate.

A zumbathon was held last week at St Edmund’s in Dover raising £440.

The Silly Committee at Dover Fire Station has also raised a whopping £2,800

Jemma Perry from River won the two Take That tickets which were on offer and has raised extra funds through this.

The next event will be a vintage tractor run on Sunday, June 7, starting from Wingleton Farm in Sutton at 10am, led by Simon Cock from Allscreens.
