Stunning footage shows the harsh and treacherous conditions trekker Andy Stroud went through for Kelly Turner.
An 11-minute clip on his Facbook page shows he and his party in both breathtaking and hair-raising scenes at Mount Everest.
The group goes over rickety rope and wood bridges to cross hundreds of feet over rivers.
At other time they walk on narrow paths on the edges of sheer drops of thousands of feet.
Other parts of the footage show the group walking through barren plateaus with stunning views of the snow-peaked mountains on the roof of the world.
Mr Stroud, who gave the Mercury permission to show the film, has already said: "I had to deal with altitude sickness, temperatures of -10C and strong winds but it was awe inspiring.”
Mr Stroud, 36, of Dover, had left for the Himalayas on Friday, March 17, trekked for 12 days and returned on Monday, April 3.
The adventure was called TrekkingforKelly and raised more than £1,000 for her.
He had started at an elevation of 2,860 metres above sea level and reached an altitude of 5,545 metres, more than halfway up the world’s highest mountain.
Kelly, 17, of Dover has a rare cancer that needs specialist treatment in New York, for which a total £1 million has to be raised.
