MEMBERS of the Dover lifeboat were called out when a 52-year-old boat owner was experiencing chest pains seven and a half miles south of the Kent port.
The boat was launched at about 8.40am on Sunday to the 28-foot angling boat Cobra. There were two crew members from Luton on board.
The owner was transferred to the lifeboat and the RNLI paramedic treated him at the lifeboat station. He was then taken by ambulance to the hoverport where he was airlifted by air ambulance to Ashford's William Harvey Hospital.
Latewr the same day, at about 7.30pm, the lifeboat was called out again. This time to a 28-foot yacht called Summercloud which was eight miles east of Dover in the south west shipping lane.
The yacht had been on passage from Flushing to Dover and called when the propeller became fouled.The lifeboat towed the yacht back to Dover Marina arriving around 9.40pm.
