Police appeal after man assaulted with walking stick at High Meadow Nature Reserve, Dover

Police want to speak to a pensioner after an elderly man was hit over the head with a walking stick at a Dover beauty spot.

The victim, a man in his 60s, was attacked in High Meadow Nature Reserve in Harbour View Road.

He was taken to hospital to be treated for a minor head injury.

The alleged assault happened at around 11am on Sunday, May 24, but details have only just been released.

The suspect is described as a short, white man, aged in his mid-50s to early 60s, bald and using a walking stick.

He was flying a remote-controlled helicopter and had three dogs, believed to be two collies and a Patterdale terrier.
