POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a break-in at a petrol station.

A cash machine was forced open and cash boxes stolen from a Total Garage off the A2 near the Duke of York pub and Premier Travel Inn, near Dover, between 11pm on Monday and 5.30am on Tuesday.

The garage was closed at the time of the incident.

Police would like to hear from anyone who noticed any vehicles or people in the area, particularly between 2am to 3am.
