Appeal after unprovoked attack on boy

KENT Police are appealing for help to identify a group of youths who assaulted a 16-year-old boy in an unprovoked attack.

The boy was walking from Cherry Tree Avenue, Dover, into a path that runs alongside the River Dour at 8.50pm on Tuesday, December 27, when he was followed by the youths.

One of them started asking him questions while another punched him in the face for no reason, which resulted in a fracture.

The youths, all of whom were male, were seen loitering outside the Londis shop in Cherry Tree Avenue before this assault and police would like to trace them.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Matthew Cave at Dover Police Station on 01304 240055.Witnesses could also telephone Kent Crimestoppers, free, on 0800 555 111. Callers do not have to give their name and they could be eligible for an award.
