Armed police pictured at flats in Stembrook Court, Dover, as Castle Street closed off

A man has been arrested after armed police were pictured storming a block of flats in a town centre.

Officers were seen on the balcony of Stembrook Court, just off Castle Street in Dover, with their guns trained on a door.

Castle Street was closed off by police while they dealt with the incident - but it has since reopened.

In a video shared on Facebook, the officers can be heard shouting: “Armed police! Anyone in the flat come to the door with nothing in your hands.”
